North Carolina Climate Action Plan Advisory Group The North Carolina Climate Action Plan Advisory Group (CAPAG) was formed as an advisory group to the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) administered by its Division of Air Quality (DAQ) with assistance and facilitation from the Center for Climate Strategies. While the CAPAG stakeholder process is complete, some further assessments, discussions, decisions, and recommendations may also be made by the Division of Air Quality and others, depending upon legislative and other implementation developments. This includes a secondary economic and job analysis being completed by Appalachian State University. Chapters 3-7, listed and linked separately below, are a summary of the recommended mitigation options for the five sectors addressed by CAPAG: 1) Residential, Commercial and Industrial; 2) Energy Supply; 3) Transportation and Land Use; 4) Agriculture, Forestry, and Waste Management; and 5) Cross Cutting Issues. The Appendixes provide the full detailed analysis of each recommended mitigation option and information related to the CAPAG's establishment and process.
